RKRENOVATION LLC, trading as RK Renovation, respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This policy covers only the rkrenovation.com website. It does not cover information you may share with us by phone or in person while discussing or completing a renovation project, which we handle as part of our normal business practices.

Information we collect

The personal information this website collects is what you choose to give us through the estimate request form. The form also records which page you submitted it from, so we know which service or city page led to your request, and a few details about how you found the website, described under How we know how you found us below. If you accept analytics cookies, the site also collects usage information about your visit, described under Cookies and analytics below.

We do not require you to create an account, and this site does not process any payments, so we do not collect any payment card information.

How we use your information

We use your contact details and project description for one purpose: to contact you about your project and provide an estimate. The details about how you found the website are used only to see which of our marketing produces estimate requests. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to target you with advertising.

How your form submission is handled

When you submit the estimate request form, it is delivered to a third party customer relationship management (CRM) service, which stores it as a contact record for RK Renovation and notifies our staff so they can respond.

The CRM service processes your submission only to store it and route it to us. We do not grant that service any other use of your information.

How we know how you found us

To learn which of our marketing brings in estimate requests, the website notes how you arrived: the website that linked you here, if any, the campaign tags and ad click identifiers in the link you followed (such as those added by Google, Microsoft, or Facebook ads), the page you landed on, and the time. It keeps one note for your first visit and one for your current visit.

These notes stay in the storage of your own browser. They are not cookies, they do not contain your name or contact details, and they are not sent anywhere unless you submit the estimate request form, in which case they travel with your request. If you have accepted analytics cookies, the form also includes the random Google Analytics identifier your browser was given, so we can match your request to your visit in our analytics reports.

To remove these notes, clear the stored data for this website in your browser settings.

How long we keep your information

We keep estimate requests, the contact records created from them, and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, complete a project if you become a customer, and satisfy our normal business and tax record keeping. If you ask us to delete your information and we have no ongoing legal or business reason to keep it, we will do so.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors find and use the site: which pages are viewed, how visitors arrived, the general type of device and browser used, and whether a visitor tapped a phone number or submitted the estimate request form. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information.

Google Analytics loads only after you choose Accept in the cookie notice. If you choose Decline, or make no choice, no analytics script runs and no analytics cookie is set. Your choice is saved in your browser so the notice does not follow you from page to page. To change it later, clear the stored data for this website in your browser settings and the notice will appear again.

When you submit the estimate request form, Google Analytics records that a request was sent, along with the service and city you selected. It never receives your name, phone number, email address, or project description. We use analytics only to improve the website and to see which pages lead to estimate requests. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell this information.

Customer reviews on this website

Several pages show our Google reviews in an embedded reviews window supplied by our CRM service. The window loads only when you scroll near it, and your browser then fetches it directly from that service and the providers it relies on, including Google for fonts and review content. Like any website you visit, they receive technical details of the request, such as your IP address and browser type, and the CRM service may set a short lived security cookie used to block automated traffic.

The reviews window is separate from the rest of the page. It cannot read what you type into our estimate request form, and it is not used for analytics or advertising by us.

Third party services

Aside from the CRM service, the reviews window and, if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics, all described above, this website does not share your information with other third parties. We may use hosting and infrastructure providers to keep the site online, but those providers do not receive the content of your form submissions.

Children under 13

This website is intended for adults seeking home renovation services. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will remove it.

Your rights: access and deletion

You may contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it, and we will honor that request. This applies to every visitor, including residents of states or countries that have their own privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the General Data Protection Regulation. North Carolina does not currently have a general consumer privacy law of that kind, but we extend the same access and deletion rights to everyone who asks.
