Ten Triangle Towns, One Local Crew
We are based in the Triangle, not dispatched into it. Pick your town to see what we run into there, from the age of the housing stock to which office issues the permit.
Choose your town
Each page covers the housing stock, the permitting office and the work we do most often there.
Raleigh, NC
Inside the Beltline you are usually working on a 1920s to 1950s house with plaster, narrow joist bays and a crawl space. Push north of Millbrook and it turns into 1970s ranches and 1990s two story colonials, which renovate very differently.
Durham, NC
Durham is bungalow country. Trinity Park and Old West Durham are full of 1910s to 1930s mill houses with original heart pine, wet plaster and rooms that were never sized for a modern bathroom. South Durham toward Southpoint is thirty years newer and built on slab.
Cary, NC
Most of Cary went up between 1988 and 2008, which means builder grade finishes on solid framing. The bones are fine. The oak cabinets, cultured marble vanity tops and beige tile are the parts homeowners here are replacing.
Apex, NC
Two housing worlds in one town. The Salem Street blocks hold turn of the century homes with real character and real quirks, while everything east of Highway 55 is a 1998 to 2015 subdivision with tall ceilings and hollow core doors.
Chapel Hill, NC
Chapel Hill has the most interesting mid century stock in the Triangle. Coker Hills and the neighborhoods around campus are full of 1950s to 1970s houses with flat roof sections, exposed beams and original single pane glass, and homeowners here usually want to keep that language rather than erase it.
Wake Forest, NC
The town roughly quadrupled after 2000, so the majority of homes are between five and twenty five years old. That is exactly the age where builder installed shower pans, original LVP and first generation vinyl windows start needing replacement.
Holly Springs, NC
Almost the entire town was built after 1998, much of it in the last fifteen years. Structurally sound, finished fast, and full of the shortcuts a production schedule creates: unsupported tile shower pans, thin trim packages and unfinished bonus rooms.
Morrisville, NC
Morrisville has the highest share of townhomes of any town we serve, which changes the job: shared walls, party wall fire separation, tight parking for a dumpster and an HOA that owns the exterior envelope.
Garner, NC
Garner holds a lot of 1960s to 1980s brick ranches, which are some of the best value renovations in Wake County. Solid framing, generous lots, and interiors built around small closed rooms that open up beautifully once the right wall comes out.
Fuquay-Varina, NC
One of the fastest growing towns in North Carolina, so new construction dominates. Outside the subdivisions there is still farmhouse and 1950s stock on larger lots, where additions and full gut renovations make more sense than moving.
